WOLFSBURG have apparently reached out to Man United to enquire about Anthony Martial’s availability.
They are the latest side to show interest in the forward after a disappointing second season in Manchester.
Wolfsburg sport director Olaf Rebbe has asked United for a loan deal according to the German Magazine Kicker.
Although there isn’t much confidence in a positive reply.
The young striker has expressed his desire to stay in Manchester.
Martial believes he can break into Jose Mourinho’s top squad and return to the form he was in during his debut season.
And Man United are reluctant to sell.
But if they decide on a loan move, the 21-year-old may feel he would be better suited at a club with more European football next season.
Interest from Arsenal and Inter Milan have also been reported.
United are heavily targeting Inter’s Ivan Perisic but negotiations halted after Inter demanded Martial be part of any deal.
Mourinho wants to keep Martial despite the pair not clicking in his first season as boss.
Martial struggled for playing time last season losing his place as a regular starter and scoring just nine goals after netting 17 in his debut season.
