Arsenal are reportedly closing in on 16-year-old Feyenoord prospect Joshua Zirkzee, according to Dutch media.

The Gunners look to have won the battle with Ajax to snap up the highly-rated teen, SoccerNews.nl report.

Zirkzee joined Feyenoord from ADO Den Haag last summer and looks to be on the move again this year.

He scored 33 goals last season for Feyenoord academy teams to grab the attention of the Gunners.

Both Dutch giants Ajax and PSV are reportedly in the hunt for him, but Arsenal look to have leaped to the front of the queue.

Arsenal are currently out on tour in the Far East as they prepare for the new season.

The Gunners face Bayern Munich in Shanghai on Wednesday in a pre-season friendly before travelling to Beijing to take on Chelsea on Saturday.

Arsenal complete their pre-season with the Emirates Cup next weekend with fixtures against Sevilla and Benfica.
