United ran out 5-2 winners, thanks to two goals from Marcus Rashford and strikes from Marouane Fellaini, Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
But there was a slightly worrying moment when Lindelof came face to face with Giovani dos Santos.
Dos Santos- surely the only player to score a hat-trick for Barcelona and turn out for Ipswich- pulled a goal back for Galaxy with the score at 5-0.
The ease with which he spun Lindelof, almost putting the big Swede on the floor, and finished won’t have impressed Jose Mourinho.
It doesn’t get much easier for Lindelof though.
United take on Man City, Real Madrid and Barcelona as they continue their tour of America.
The Red Devils will face Madrid again at the start of August in the UEFA Super Cup, before kicking their Premier League campaign off against West Ham.
