MANCHESTER CITY have joined Chelsea in the chase for £21.9million-rated Real Madrid full-back Danilo.
But according to reports, the Brazilian fancies working with Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
Conte is keen for reinforcements in his squad with Champions League football on the fixture list in West London next season.
And the 26-year-old would immediately strengthen his squad, especially after losing out in a different area of the pitch – namely in the centre forward area.
Manchester United pipped Chelsea to the signing of Romelu Lukaku and Conte would be loathe to lose out once again to a Premier League rival with Danilo.
Juventus remain interested in the former Porto flier after Dani Alves left – initially for Manchester City – before signing for Paris Saint-Germain.
And that left Man City without a right back, but Pep Guardiola managed to sign Kyle Walker from Tottenham for £50million.
According to the Sunday Times, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has demanded a host of new full-backs at the Eithad from his board.
And there are concerns they have too little cover in the wide areas of defence, after Guardiola let Gael Clichy, Bacaray Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta leave.
But according to Diario Gol, Danilo fancies working with Conte, who brilliantly won the Premier League with an unfancied Blues squad last term.
Chelsea are also reportedly interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain for £88m or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for £65m.
