The world is currently at Kylian Mbappe’s feet.
By that we mean Mbappe’s feet are the most expensive commodity in Europe at the moment.
Since breaking into the Monaco first team at the age of 16 Mbappe has always worn Nike boots.
He’s laced up both the Nike Mercurial Vapor and the Nike Hypervenom Phantom, which was released in a special colourway to celebrate Monaco winning Ligue 1.
But, after scoring 26 goals in his first full season at Monaco, Mbappe’s feet are now a lot more lucrative.
Adidas are willing to pay Mbappe €5million-per-season in order to poach him from Nike, according to Sport.
To put that in context it’s more than the £3.1mil Adidas currently pay Paul Pogba for his ten-year deal.
Unlike countrymen Pogba and Antoine Griezmann, who wears Puma, Mbappe has yet to lead a marketing campaign, aside from playing a role in the Monaco title winning boot.
His current deal is reportedly coming to an end, leaving the door open for Adidas.
Having just launched the Nemeziz boot it would be a prime time for Adidas to sign someone of Mbappe’s growing stature.
Don’t count your chickens though Adidas.
We’ve heard Patrick are coming out with some flare boots that are right up Mbappe’s street.
