Well, well, well, what’s going on here then?
One of the main talking points at Arsenal this summer is whether Alexis Sanchez is staying or going.
The Chilean is reportedly unhappy at the Emirates and with Man City and Bayern Munich circling there are fears among Arsenal fans that he could be off.
Well Arsenal’s official store might have accidentally put an end to the saga.
If you had headed over to Arsenal’s official online store this morning to order the new kit you’d have had the option to select Sanchez’s number seven shirt.
No problems there. Business as usual.
But for those who wanted a Danny Welbeck shirt it wasn’t quite as straightforward.
Welbeck was also listed as wearing the number seven shirt, rather than the number 23 he’s worn since joining Arsenal.
Do they know something we don’t?
Arsenal changed Welbeck’s number from seven to 23 upon realising their mistake, but the damage was already done.
Cue mass panic from Arsenal fans.
Is it a coincidence that Robert Lewandowski’s representatives have started conversations with Chelsea and Man United, potentially leaving a Chilean-shaped hole at Bayern Munich?
That’s not for us to say.
For now we should all just revel in another Arsenal meltdown. Sorry Gunners.
