Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Real Madrid team-mate Sergio Ramos that he wants to leave the Bernabeu.
According to reports in Spain, CR7 phoned captain Ramos to tell of his desire to depart the club after the sensational news broke last week of his intention to move.
He is currently with the Portugal side at the Confederations Cup and his future plans will likely become clearer after its conclusion.
TV show Golazo claim Ramos and Ronaldo spoke on the phone, in which the Portuguese legend told the Spaniard of his intentions.
Ronaldo was charged for defrauding the Spanish government of £13million in unpaid tax.
And it is understood he was unhappy at the lack of protection offered to him by Real Madrid in the aftermath of the incident — despite the club backing him publicly.
Should he leave, there are only a number of possible destinations.
Old Trafford is reported to be his preferred destination, but the Red Devils are wary of making a pursuit of the 32-year-old only for him to once again sign a new contract at the Bernabeu.
Paris Saint-Germain and the Chinese Super League are other potential avenues.
Furthermore, Golazo also claim Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has communicated to Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, that his client wants leave as soon as possible.
