Antoine Conte moves to Israel to join Beitar Jerusalem

Don't worry Chelsea fans, not Antonio Conte (always read the small print)

Remember when Andres Iniesta signed for Mexican side Venados? Only it wasn’t quite Andres Iniesta, it was Andres Iniestra.

Well it’s happened again. Israeli outfit Beitar Jerusalem have announced the signing of Antoine Conte.

With all the speculation surrounding Antonio Conte’s future at Stamford Bridge, the news would have given plenty of Chelsea fans a bit of a shock.

But don’t panic. Antonio is staying put, at least for the time being.

The Antoine Conte in question is actually a former French Under-21 international who played alongside Kingsley Coman, Thomas Lemar, Adrien Rabiot and Aymeric Laporte.

Recognise any familiar faces?

He started his career at PSG but only played once before moving to Reims, from whom he joined Beitar Jerusalem on loan.

That move to the Israeli Premier League side has now been made permanent.

But, just to confirm, Antonio Conte is still the Chelsea manager, Andres Iniesta still plays for Barcelona and Andres Iniestra is the main man at Venados.

Everyone happy?
