It’s fair to say England didn’t have the best of times against France on Tuesday night.
Gareth Southgate’s side fell to a 3-2 defeat to Les Bleus despite playing most of the second-half against 10-men.
And while we’ll leave the inquest to Southgate (crikey), a number of players in the England squad would’ve returned home from the Stade de France feeling slightly less assured of their place in the team.
England’s defence will be particularly feeling it, as the back-line was consistently savaged by a France attack consisting of the exciting young trio of Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar and Ousmane Dembele.
But it was Paul Pogba who produced the biggest moment of magic, when he did THIS to Gary Cahill midway through the second-half:
That certainly is some impressive footwork, but you’ve got to feel for Cahill after that even if he did just win the Premier League with Chelsea.
As you’d expect, the good people of Twitter were quick to berate the defender for the Pogba trick.
