AC Milan are treating the transfer market like a game of Football Manager.
Why let little details like Financial Fair Play get in the way of signing whoever you want?
Franck Kessie, Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez have all made big money moves to the San Siro as Milan look to spend their way back to the top of Italian football.
But I Rossoneri aren’t stopping there.
Milan are on the verge of completing a €40million move for Porto striker Andre Silva, according to O Jogo.
Silva and his agent Jorge Mendes (who else?) are in Milan as the 21-year-old completes medical examinations ahead of a move.
That comes after he started Portugal’s 3-0 win against Latvia on Friday, scoring in the 67th minute.
Now it looks like he’ll follow in the footsteps of Marco van Basten, Filippo Inzaghi and Andriy Shevchenko and lead the line for Milan.
Silva scored 16 goals in 30 games for Porto last season as they were pipped to the title by arch-rivals Benfica.
But why is this all of interest to Man United fans?
A move for the Portuguese striker is likely to end Milan’s interest in Alvaro Morata, paving the way for a transfer to Man United.
Better get on that phone asap, Jose.
