ARSENAL are reportedly allowed to pursue Arda Turan after Barcelona’s new head coach Ernesto Valverde said he is allowed to leave the Nou Camp.
According to Turkish Football, Arsene Wenger is ready to make a move for the Turkey international after the French boss committed his future at the Emirates.
While Haberturk are also reporting he will be the first player to leave under the new boss at Barcelona.
It is claimed the Gunners have already approached the creative midfielder’s agent, Ahmet Bulut, and have been in talks over a deal for at least a month.
Turan signed for Barcelona for £24million after being a key player for Atletico Madrid, but he struggled to make an impact with the Catalan giants.
Turan has also been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer, with Angel Di Maria rumoured to come in as a replacement for the unwanted midfielder.
Last season, Turan scored 13 goals in 30 appearances for Barca.
And he could turn out to be super-signing for Wenger if he rediscovers his form from his time at Atleti – which is where he earned himself a move to the Nou Camp.
Arsenal have also reportedly launched a sensational bid worth £87m for Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.
