Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil set to leave Arsenal following Arsene Wenger’s contract renewal

Sanchez will force move to Bayern Munich this summer while Ozil will run down his contract to move on a free next year

Well, we’re sure this will go down an absolute treat with the ‘Wenger Out’ brigade.

A day after it was announced Arsene Wenger is set to stay at Arsenal for another two years, reports claim their star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil want to leave the club.

The Times claim Sanchez will force a move to Bayern Munich this summer, while German midfielder Ozil will run down his contract and leave on a free next year.

“Don’t tell anyone Mesut, but I’m off.” “Me too, Alexis…”

Seeing Sanchez leave the club will be hard to take for Gunners fans, with the 28-year-old scoring 30 goals and assisting 19 in 51 appearances this season for the North London club.

He also scored the first goal in Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup final victory over Chelsea at the weekend, and has been one of the most impressive players in the club’s recent history.

Arsenal had reportedly broken their wage structure to offer Ozil and Sanchez £280,000-a-week to convince the pair to stay, but it looks as if though they will be without both come 12 months time.

“OK boss, can you let me go now please? Boss?”

Ozil has attracted less interest due to his form this season, but there is no doubting the German would slot into most top European sides.

And while he is set to leave the club on a free transfer next year, Wenger will be hopeful of convincing the 28-year-old to stay over the course of next season.
