And so the season ends just as it began.
Back in August of last year all the talk was about Man United’s new dabbing dynamic midfielder.
Paul Pogba arrived in Manchester as the most expensive player football’s history and his signature celebration became a uniquely millennial marker that punctuated the first half of the season.
It’s only fitting that footage should emerge from the last day of the Premier League season showing the 24-year-old Frenchman practising his dabbing having been substituted off during Man United’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Take a look…
We’re really not sure what to make of this.
On the one hand it’s rather cringe-worthy; is dabbing even still a thing?
But then again Pogba is so damn charismatic he just about pulls it off.
On the pitch, he enjoyed a good day at the office, providing a wonderful assist for debutant Josh Harrop before scoring United’s second four minutes later.
Jose Mourinho brought Pogba off for Michael Carrick just before half-time to guard him from injury ahead of the Europa League final against Ajax on 24 May.
Will we see some dabbing action in Stockholm?
