CHELSEA want £20million CSKA Moscow star Aleksandr Golovin to boost their title-winning squad, according to reports.
SunSport told you how Blues boss Antonio Conte could lose midfield lynchpin Nemanja Matic to Manchester United.
And that obviously highlights the need for a replacement, with the 20-year-old Russian, who featured against England at the Euros, a surprise choice.
The Mail on Sunday say Conte and sporting director Michael Emenalo are discussing a number of high-profile targets.
Included are Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk, Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko and Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci.
But 20-year-old Golovin has not escaped their watch either and Conte could be set to make a summer move.
Golovin has been with CSKA since 2012 and has ten caps as a senior Russia international, including two goals.
He is tied down to the Russian side – who won the top flight last year – until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Golovin has made 29 appearances in the league this season, scoring three goals.
He is regarded as one of the hottest properties in Russian football but will, according to the Mail, be viewed as an “investment in the future” by Chelsea.
