Benfica celebrate fourth consecutive league title by taking a MOPED for a ride in the dressing room

Rui Vitoria's side clinched their fourth Portuguese league title in a row at the weekend and celebrated in style

Benfica clinched their fourth consecutive Portuguese Liga title at the weekend with a thumping win over Vitoria Guimaraes.

And as you’d expect, Rui Vitoria’s side were pretty pleased about it.

Much was made of Diego Costa’s bizarre celebrations last week when Chelsea secured the Premier League title.

But the forward’s risque antics have nothing on Benfica star Eliseu, who drove a MOPED into the Eagles’ dressing room.

The left-back was even recorded performing doughnuts around his roaring team-mates, while being drenched with icy water from a nearby cooler.

That’s how they do it in Portugal, clearly.

Benfica’s 5-0 thrashing of Vitoria secured the title over their nearest rivals Porto, who were the last side to beat them to the crown back in 2013.

Eliseu and co led the celebrations into the night as they embarked on an open-top bus parade through Lisbon, much to the delight of their thousands of supporters who lined the streets.

Benfica will now look ahead to a busy summer transfer window, with several players linked with moves away from Estadio da la Luz.

Victor Lindelof, Goncalo Guedes, Ederson, Nelson Semedo and Anderson Talisca have all dominated the back pages in recent months, with a host of European powerhouses keeping a keen eye on the stars of Benfica’s latest triumph.
