Details of Carlos Tevez’s staggering Chinese Super League contract have been leaked online.
Information published by Football Leaks via 101 Great Goals reveals the Argentine is indeed earning £634,615-a-week at Shanghai Shenhua.
But it’s now been shown that Tevez is picking up even more cash through a number of mind-boggling bonuses.
The ex-Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham star isn’t exactly short for a bob or two after also enjoying success at Juventus.
But Tevez will bank a whopping £788,000 if he plays in at just 70 per cent of Shanghai’s matches this season.
He will also receive the same amount if his side win the Chinese Super League, with £1.56million at stake for victory in the Asian Champions League.
Meanwhile, domestic cup glory will pocket Tevez a further £390,000, with the same amount available if he finishes as top scorer.
It just goes to show the extraordinary amount of spending power at work in the Far East, with a number of big-name stars being tempted in recent years.
The same leaks show that Ezequiel Lavezzi is earning close to £800,000-a-week at Hebei China Fortune, and one can only wonder what Diego Costa could earn if he leaves champions-elect Chelsea this summer.
