Twitter has blown up in reaction to actor Ray Winstone’s antics on Soccer AM this morning.
The Hollywood actor exploded in celebration after his team effectively ended Spurs’ Premier League title challenge with a 1-0 win on Friday night.
Winstone ripped his jacket off, revealing a claret and blue shirt and performed the well known cross-armed Irons gesture.
Twitter reacted in typical fashion with West Ham loving the gesture and Spurs fans being as unimpressed as you would expect.
This win is clearly very important to West Ham fans and Winstone encapsulates that.
Winstone, known for roles in Quadrophenia, Beowulf and The Sweeney, stood up and ripped off his jacket before screaming “IRONS!” at the top of his voice.
He said: “[West Ham] were like Trojans last night… like Spartans.
“We done ’em, that north London mob.
“I feel a bit sorry for Tottenham in a way, because they are a great side, but we out bottled them last night.
“They came to our manor and they got done.”
