Jose Mourinho has told Italian TV he could one day make a sensational return to Inter Milan.
The Manchester United boss is still fondly remembered by the Nerazzurri faithful for his Treble victory in 2010.
Speaking after his side’s 1-0 win over Celta Vigo in their Europa League semi-final first leg, Mourinho was asked if would even consider returning to the San Siro.
And he told Sky Sport Italia: “Not right now, but maybe one day.”
Inter are currently seventh in Serie A, but their new owners have ambitious plans to return among the continent’s best clubs and are targeting a big-name manager in the summer.
Reports suggest they are ready to offer Antonio Conte a whopping £13million-a-year contract to leave Chelsea in the summer.
And Mourinho admitted he would be happy for the club if they managed to attract such a prestigious name.
He added: “Every Inter manager is my manager and I would always support them.
“I want the Nerazzurri fans to be happy.”
Mourinho was also asked if he thought Conte was similar to himself, to which he jokingly replied: “He has black hair, I have white hair.”
United took a big step towards the Eurpoa League final — and subsequently Champions League qualification — with a 1-0 win away at Celta.
Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game with a superb free-kick.
