Mesut Ozil allegedly told Arsenal’s club doctor to “f*** off” in the White Hart Lane tunnel following defeat to Spurs in the North London derby.
The German international flew into a rage after being nominated as the first player to take a drugs test at full-time.
He initially refused doctor Gary O’Driscoll’s request, before swearing at him and then leaving his stud marks on a door which he kicked in frustration.
After being threatened with a fine, the angry midfielder reluctantly agreed to be tested.
Ozil believes he is too frequently targeted for testing.
However, the incident also highlights the general frustration at the club.
The 28-year-old’s future at the Emirates remains in doubt, with his contract due to expire at the end of next season.
He is said to have a £280,000-a-week deal on the table, but is yet to put pen to paper.
Ozil feels he has been made a scapegoat for the Gunners’ under par season.
The FA Cup final appears to be the last chance for Arsenal to salvage something from a disappointing season for Arsenal.
Although at this point many fans expect the worst.
