Manchester United hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic plans to take 50 club staff and players out for a ‘thank you’ dinner.
The Swedish striker, 35, is paying for the first team, coaches and support staff, including masseurs and groundsmen to join him for the meal.
He has yet to decide whether he will undertake any of his nine-month rehabilitation for a knee injury at United.
He has reportedly already turned down an offer from boss Jose Mourinho of a one-year £13million contract extension while he recovers.
A source said: “Zlatan’s been an absolute star.
“He’s umming and aahing about what he’s going to do but he’s decided to take everyone out for a meal as a thank you and possibly a final farewell.”
Zlatan fell badly in United’s Europa League win over Anderlecht.
The Swede, who has bagged 28 goals this season, is famous for his huge ego and jokey attitude.
In January we told how he handed his wife a picture of himself as a gift for Christmas.
He had received the framed snap from staff at Carrington which showed his celebration with Jesse Lingard who looked terrified as Zlatan, a taekwondo black belt, leapt towards him.
He was also once asked what he got his wife for her birthday and replied: “Nothing, she already has Zlatan.”
