ARSENAL are reportedly targeting a shock move for St Etienne star Florentin Pogba – brother of Manchester United star Paul.
The central defender has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years but has suffered his fair share of injury problems this season.
However, TeamTalk claims Arsene Wenger is a fan and could launch a bid to bring a second Pogba to the Premier League.
Man Utd ace Paul set the bar high when he made a world-record £89million move last summer, and the pair eventually faced off in the Europa League in February.
But Florentin could soon find himself centre-stage at Arsenal following Wenger’ switch to a three-man defence.
And it appears the bookies think Pogba is heading for north London after his odds of joining Arsenal were slashed from 7/4 to 4/1.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Punters are positive Pogba will become a Gunner this summer.”
The French tactician is out of contract this summer but is expected to pen a new two-year deal before embarking on a huge spending spree.
But Wenger will first have to get rid of current players before bringing in fresh faces, with Olivier Giroud looking set for a move to Marseille.
