Anthony Knockaert has been immense this season.
The 25-year-old winger inspired Brighton to gain promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history, scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists in a successful campaign.
It came as no surprise when the Frenchman was named Championship Player of the Season by the EFL earlier this month.
There’s just one problem…
The EFL spelt his name wrong on the award!
Knockaert was presented with a trophy dedicated to ‘Anthony Knockeart’, whoever he is.
At least EA Sports managed to spell his name right on his Player of the Year FUT card.
It’s a simple mistake to make initially but you would have thought somebody would have looked it over before engraving it on a trophy.
The Daily Mail are reporting that the EFL are sending Knockaert a new trophy, with his name spelt correctly and everything.
