FIFA 19: Your Ultimate Team is going to lose thousands in value very, very soon

The Black Friday market crash has already begun

FIFA 19’s Black Friday market crash is well on the way – with a number of players’ values plummeting at an alarming rate.

Gamers risk having thousands wiped off the value of their Ultimate Teams, as FIFA 19 fans flood the market with top players.

Some players – Yannick Carassco and Leon Bailey – have seen more than 50 per cent slashed from their value, as prices plummet ahead of Black Friday.

The majority have seen drops between 20-25 per cent – including the likes of Dimitri Payet, Julian Draxler and Lucas Moura.

On Black Friday, November 23, and Cyber Monday, there will be hourly pack offers available in Ultimate Team.

Mega Packs, Premium Player Packs and other special packs not usually available in the store will be made available for a limited time – with some up to 50% off their original price.

To stock up on coins, gamers have already started selling their most valuable assets – meaning supply is beginning to outweigh demand for a number of top stars.

To ensure they’re sold, FIFA fans undercut others in a bit to get as many coins as possible in the shortest possible time – causing prices to drop.

Lower rated players in the 80s will likely be hit the hardest, but ICONS and other higher-rated stars will be hit, too.

Although the crash is not mean to hit until next week, a mini-slump is already taking place – particularly on PlayStation, the most widely-played platform.

Prices will continue to fall until Black Friday – where they will reach their lowest point.

A ‘crash after the crash’, lasting approximately three days, will follow shortly afterwards before prices begin to stabilise.

So, why does a FIFA Market Crash Occur?

Simply put, it’s when supply outweighs demand.

So, demand remains constant but suddenly there is an influx of new players in market.

New inform releases and promotions encourage gamers to buy more packs, flooding the market with players – causing prices to drop across the board.

EA does its best to keep the market stable by managing the release of the new informs and offers.
