We don’t know how some of these missed the cut.
EA Sports revealed a whole host of big name icons who will be sporadically popping up in packs in FIFA 19.
We think they did a pretty good job for the most part, adding in the likes of Johan Cruyff and Rivaldo to this year’s game.

Amongst all the star names who EA Sports have added into FIFA 19, we can’t help but notice a few notable omissions.
The list of icons, previously known as ‘legends’ prior to FIFA 17, is stronger than it has ever been. It could be even stronger though with some additions.
FreeSuperTips has actually put together not one but two elevens of players who might feel hard-done by after failing to make the grade as an icon on FIFA 19.
One of the teams put together by FreeSuperTips contains classic players from decades past, with the other line-up featuring more recently retired stars.
We think that all the names included should be in with a real shout of becoming icons on FIFA 20.

The best from ‘back in the day’
England fans will surely love the look of this team.
Gordon Banks between the sticks, with Sir Stanley Matthews pulling the strings in midfield would be a joy to watch. Make it happen, EA.
Franz Beckenbauer marshalling the defence would leave opposition strikers with no chance of getting through on goal.
The creative spark would come from the wide areas, with Kenny Dalglish terrorising down the right, and Brazilian legend Zico jinxing past defenders on the left.
Ferenc Puskas, so good they named an award after him, would link up with his former Real Madrid strike partner Alfredo Di Stefano. We can dream.
Modern day retired stars
It continues to be a mystery how Bayern Munich and Germany stalwart Oliver Kahn hasn’t got an icon card.
The imposing shot-stopper is shielded by a formidable looking defence, including the likes of Lilian Thuram, Cafu and Philipp Lahm.
The midfielder four is just about as good as they come. Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo Koeman two of the very best in the centre of the park.
The width would be provided by Roma legend Francesco Totti and David Beckham. If only the latter hadn’t signed with PES…
Two clinical strikers spearhead the side, with former Spurs star Jurgen Klinsmann partnering Brazilian legend Romario.
There’s no chance we could ever predict a winner if these two sides came face-to-face in FIFA.
What we do know however is that we want to see all of these players included in FIFA 20.
Which one player from each team would you have loved to see in this year’s game?
