FIFA 18: Something strange happens when all the game’s best players are in the same team

Suarez and Ronaldo up front would cause carnage... surely?

Most of us would be lucky to have Cristiano Ronaldo in our FIFA team.

But what would happen if you had all the game’s best players? You think they’d be unstoppable, right?

YouTuber Rich Leigh decided to find out – and plonked all the 88-rated players and above into the Arsenal team. He then simmed a season on Career Mode.

Up front, Luis Suarez joins Ronaldo with Leo Messi sitting just behind them.

Just look at that line up

Eden Hazard, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale make up the midfield – while Sergio Ramos, Mats Hummels and Giorgio Chiellini guard Manuel Neuer in goal.

So, how did they do?

Unsurprisingly, Arsenal finished top of the league – miles clear of second-place Liverpool.

They won 27 out of the 38 games and lost just one match.

They even won the Community Shield (beating Chelsea), the FA Cup but – amazingly – couldn’t get past the group stage in the Champions League.

So, who scored the most goals?

Take a bow Suarez – who finished the Premier League campaign with a brilliant 19.

Hazard came fourth with 18 while Messi had a quieter season with 11.

Poor old Ronaldo is nowhere to be seen.

How odd?!

Sadly, when it came to the Champions League (Called the Champions Cup in FIFA 18) – not one Arsenal player made the list.

This probably explained why they didn’t progress very far.

So, there you have it.

A team of the best players in the world isn’t quite as good as you’d think.

Despite some domestic success, when it comes to Europe, it could be a case of less is more.
