Cristiano Ronaldo may have had an incredible time at Real Madrid, but he now has to build a new legacy at Juventus.
And given his 100 million Euro price tag, the pressure will be on the Portuguese to deliver from the get go.
So, how well can we expect him to do?
YouTuber FNG used FIFA 18’s Career Mode to find out – with interesting results.
Let’s take a look at Ronaldo’s first season in Italy.
As expected, the 33-year-old slots in on the left – with Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala (providing the latter stays… unlikely) completing the attacking trio.
Good news, Juventus finish the season at the top of Serie A – 10 points clear of Roma.
They’ve scored an impressive 72 goals, won 26 games, drawn eight and lost four.
Sadly, despite reaching the final of the Coppa Nazionale, Juve lose 2-1 to Inter Milan.
And it’s heartbreak again in the Champions League as Juve are beaten by eventual competition winners Man United in the quarter finals.
So, how did Ronaldo get on?
The Portuguese, who will be 34 by that time, scored a respectable 16 goals in Serie A – ranking him fourth in the season’s top scorers.
Amazingly, Ronaldo tops the list for assists – with an incredible 18 in Serie A.
Across all competitions, Ronaldo nets a total of 27 goals in 45 appearances – which by his lofty standards is some way off his best.
His 19 assists go some way to help things, but there are signs his powers are starting to wane.
Still, his form remains excellent and he is ‘very happy’ at the club.
Although starting the season at 94 rated, he’s taken a slight dip to score 92 overall.
However, it’s clear Ronaldo’s become a key cog in the Juventus machine – transitioning from pure goal-scoring machine to chance creator and provider.
