Fortnite has announced that the new content update is going live at 1 pm BST.
This will be the first major patch and content update since season five went live last week.
With a few minor bugs and glitches revolving around stats and leaderboards being incorrectly recorded, there aren’t any noticeable gameplay issues this season.
Players have been asking Epic to nerf the power of rockets and C4 as it is affecting skill based build battles.
It’s unlikely this update will contain any adjustments to this though, as Epic has made it clear they are attempting to make Fortnite fairer for all players.
Mobile players therefore shouldn’t be concerned as they will still be able to compete with PC and console players through explosives.
Map Changes
With the portals looming above the new map it is also likely that new areas will be covered by sand with the addition of more relics from the past.
Players have noticed sand leaking from the rifts at the edge of the new section of the map.
A sphinx? A Pyramid? Or maybe some more wild west themed areas, either way, we are excited.
We will be sure to upload the patch notes as soon as they become available.
Elsewhere…
PUBG’s brand spanking new smaller map Sanhok has been a hit with players and pundits alike after it’s release last month.
A brand new DMR and pickup truck have just been announced for the new map as well.
Both battle royale games are consistently updating their games and vying for the top spot.

GUNS REMOVED
The content update has added a new weapon into the game ‘the submachine gun’.
However, players were dismayed to find that the fan favourite tactical SMG has been temporarily vaulted.
