One of the biggest shocks of this year’s World Cup happened yesterday as South Korea knocked reigning champions Germany out of the World Cup.
And a large part of that was down to Spurs ace Heung-Min Son – whose goal helped his country achieve the historic win.
It was only right that he was given an upgrade – and EA Sports delivered. Massively.
The South Korea star has been bumped up two ratings to an 85, with a stats refresh that rivals the best of them.
He now has 89 pace, 91 dribbling, 90 shooting and 82 passing, meaning he’ll cause any defence some serious problems.
Spare a thought for poor German midfielder Toni Kroos, though.
His free kick may have helped his doomed country to a late win over Sweden earlier in the tournament, but EA only awarded him an 84 rating for free kicks.
This is the same player who, as his team was facing elimination from the tournament, rocketed a free kick into the top corner.
To help put this into perspective, Swedish defender Andreas Granqvist was boosted up to 95 penalties for the match before – after scoring against South Korea.
