FIFA 18: EA Sports have upgraded the ratings of 23 La Liga players and Barcelona fans will be VERY happy

There's a host of big names in FIFA 18's latest ratings upgrade

This is the one you’ve been waiting for.

Ever since EA Sports confirmed that players from each of the major leagues will see their FIFA 18 ratings permanently changed, a small part of us was admittedly holding our breath for La Liga.

So, with FIFA’s developer rolling out their ratings refresh for the Premier LeagueSerie A and Ligue 1, La Liga’s time is NOW.

And it’s a particularly great day for Barcelona fans, with a host of Nou Camp stars receiving upgrades.

Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be happiest of all, jumping from 85 to 87 overall with major changes in his reflexes and positioning.

His teammates Jordi Alba, Paulinho, Sergi Roberto and ex-Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho can also boast shiny new upgrades.

It’s also been a great day for Valencia, with everyone’s favourite former West Ham striker Simeone Zaza rising from 80 to 82 (he’s even had a shave, if you look closely) while Daniel Parejo rises to 84.

And there’s a couple of youngsters you might want to keep an eye out for as well, with Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez rising four points to 81, while Celta Vigo’s 21-year-old striker Maxi Gomez has leap from 70 to 77.

Rather unsurprisingly, only one Real Madrid star has been given an upgrade, with Casemiro gaining a massive extra point.

Beggars can’t be choosers.

He’ll be happy, at least

Keep in mind folks, that any change in rating will affect the player’s price – ultimately causing instability in the market. Players who see their ratings slashed will likely fall in price, while those with increased scores will see their values soar.
