Finding amazing players on FIFA 18 doesn’t need to cost the Earth.
In fact, according to EA Sports’ live service producer Yahsir Qureshi, you can cobble together a very decent Ultimate Team for next to nothing.
Qureshi revealed to FourFourTwo what players you should pick up if you don’t fancy spending a load of money.
“If you have a few thousand coins and are looking to find a bargain there are a number of players who can help you on your way, depending on your play style,” he said.
“[For instance,] looking for a GK? You’d be hard pressed to find better bargains than Asmir Begovic, Joe Hart or Jose Reina.”
All three are currently available for around 1,400 coins.
But what about the outfield?
“If you are looking for defenders to out-muscle opponents, Ashley Williams, Daniele Rugani and Ryan Bertrand are very strong candidates.
“If you are looking for midfielders who are versatile and provide different options to suit most play styles, Yohan Cabaye, Quincy Promes and Suso fit the bill.”
Lacking pace in attack? Qureshi’s got just the answer.
“If you’re looking for bargain attacking players who can outpace defenders, Joshua King, Jose Izquierdo and Luciano Narsingh all present a constant threat to any defence.”
FUTMas kicked off last week, and saw EA Sports begin to flood the market with lightning rounds, new pack offers and increased chances of finding in-form players.
However, hundreds of angry fans have flocked to the FIFA sub Reddit claiming the SBCs are not worth the money.
One SBC in particular, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, is coming under fire for its hefty 200,000 coin price tag.
One gamer wrote: “Prices are just dumb – 200k for a Mkhitaryan?! It’s not even a central card, one inform would make it obsolete.”
On the plus side, the promotion is still in its infancy, so we’d expect to see better cards arrive in the coming weeks.
FUTMas is due to run until January 2nd, 2018 – with the best offers arriving on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
