FIFA 18’s Black Friday market crash is well on the way – with a number of players’ values plummeting at an alarming rate.
Gamers risk having thousands of coins wiped off the value of their hard-earned Ultimate Teams, as FIFA 18 fans flood the market with top players.
Although the crash is not mean to hit until tomorrow (November 25), a mini-slump is already taking place.
Yaya Toure has lost nearly 20 per cent of his value, Arjen Robben has lost 15 per cent and Robert Lewandowski is down six per cent.
The dip, happening on the both the Xbox and PS4 markets, is causing quite a stir on the FIFA reddit.
The slump has even prompted FIFA YouTuber MattHDGamer to release a video about how to capitalise on the fluctuating prices..
Prices will continue to fall until Black Friday – where they will reach their lowest point.
A ‘crash after the crash’, lasting approximately three days, will follow shortly afterwards before prices begin to stabilise.
So, why does a FIFA Market Crash Occur?
Simply put, it’s when supply outweighs demand.
So, demand remains constant but suddenly there is an influx of new players in market.
New inform releases and promotions encourage gamers to buy more packs, flooding the market with players – causing prices to drop across the board.
EA does its best to keep the market stable by managing the release of the new informs and offers.
What’s the best way to prepare?
If you’re reading this and it’s the first you’ve heard about this crash, don’t worry – there’s still time.
Build up coins by playing progressive tournaments, taking part in SBCs and playing in the FUT Champions Weekend League for win rewards.
