FIFA 18 gamers have noticed something strange is happening to Daniel Sturridge.
He keeps changing height.
According to Futhead data, the Liverpool forward is just above average at 5ft 11ins in FIFA 18. However, in FIFA 17, he’s 6ft 2ins while in FIFA 15 he’s 6ft.
So how tall is he?
Well, Wikipedia states Sturridge’s true height is actually 6ft 2ins – so it looks as though EA has got it wrong this year.
But he’s not the only one to suffer some growing pains.
Anthony Martial has shrunk from 6ft to 5ft 11ins, while Marcus Rashford has shot up from 5ft 11ins to 6ft 1ins – although the latter is 18 so could have actually grown this amount.
Unsurprisingly, FIFA fans are far from impressed.
One gamer hit the nail on the head, writing on reddit: “Sturridge’s height is and will be forever a mystery”.
It’s not been the best week on FIFA for the Liverpool forward, who received a huge pace downgrade in this year’s game – after minimal playing time last season due to injury.
His pace plummeted from 82 to 76, and Sturridge wasn’t too happy about it it.
In a clip where the forward was shown his downgraded stats, he said: “Whoever put 76 down there… It’s a disrespect to my credibility, it’s a disrespect to my integrity, to my name.”
He continued: “Whoever works at FIFA, they need firing. They need firing – seriously.”
