A FIFA 18 gamer claims to have found a fool-proof way of netting against aggressive opponents.
The ‘ultra-attacking’ preset comes in handy if the team is behind and needs as many bodies up front as possible.
However, as this clip shows, it can leave gamers massively exposed at the back.
This is where this trick comes in.
Step 1. The corner
If you opponent has a shot at goal, which is saved, kick the ball out for a corner.
Step 2. Win it back
Let the ball swing into the box and try your hardest to win it back.
You then need to pass to your striker, who’ll still be upfield.
Step 3. Run
It’ll be a one-on-one situation with the keeper, so you better have been practising!
Unsurprisingly, the tip’s been well-received by the community on the FIFA reddit.
One gamer wrote: “Hmm, I thought in FIFA 18 they changed it, and there is ALWAYS a Defender in the back, even if the Goalie is in front for the corner.”
Another said: “I got into the habit of doing this online last year just because of how easy it was to counter attack corners.”
Earlier in the week, Dream Team Gaming revealed FIFA 18 gamers are pleading to EA Sports for the developer to revert it back to its pre-patch status.
The game, which received its first patch last week, has taken a hammering from the community who believe it’s made things worse, not better.
EA’s latest patch sought to address minor gameplay issues and bugs – but fans say it’s caused the game to mimic FIFA 17 – especially with regards to defending.
Let’s hope they get this fixed pronto.
