You’d have thought if you’d just been signed for £166million, you might be classed as one of the best players in the world.
But for Paris Saint-Germain starlet Kylian Mbappe, he might have to wait until he can break into the top 100 footballers on the planet right now.
That’s according to EA Sports’ FIFA 18 player ratings, who haven’t included the young Frenchman in their top 100 players for their upcoming game.
Mbappe moved from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain this summer after bursting onto the scene in Ligue 1 and the Champions League last year, but it seems the boy has still got to prove himself at the top level to get himself in the top 100 players on FIFA.
The PSG star scored 26 goals in 44 appearances last campaign, notching up 14 assists in the process.
EA Sports have completed their rundown of the top 100 players in the game, with Cristiano Ronaldo once again being named as the best player on EA Sports’ next release.
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez once again make the top four, but there’s a notable omission of Mbappe as you search further down the list.
In fairness to EA Sports, Mbappe (or Mbappe Lottin as he was known in the game) started FIFA 17 with just a 71 rating, and he has since become one of the hottest prospects in world football of this generation.
Given Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva is the 100th best player on the game with a rating of 84, we expect Mbappe to get somewhere close to that, and almost certainly in the 80s.
Kylian Mbappe’s rating reached 89 in FIFA 17’s Ligue 1 Team of the Season Ultimate Team card, but that factors in the healthy boost the game maker’s add in.
But seems that you can have all the potential in the world, but until you achieve something you’re still a slave to EA Sports notoriously fierce ratings system.
