Dele Alli asked EA Sports to not have a FIFA 18 rating below 85… and they’ve given him 84

The Tottenham Hotspur star appeared in a FIFA 18 promo video saying he shouldn't be below 85, and they haven't awarded him accordingly

Dele Alli is a future England great, there’s no denying it.

The Tottenham Hotspur star is a rarity in English football – a brilliantly skilful player who mixes it up with a bit of a nasty streak.

It’s easy to forget Dele is only 21, but he’s obviously not short on confidence when it comes to his own ability.

His FIFA 18 rating was revealed as part of the first drop from EA Sports, which gave Dele a rating of 84.

It’s not bad, only the accompanying video appeared to show Dele might not be best pleased with it…

Check out the video below.

During it, Alli says his rating should be ’86 or 85? Nowhere lower though.’

Slightly awkward, but we expect Alli will soon receive a boost if his form this season is anything to go by.

During the video, Alli was also given the chance to hit back at some haters, namely a Twitter user who said he was going to ‘sell his club on FIFA’, because Alli scored twice past them.

The user, @Sanogology, also called Dele ‘bang average’, probably not expecting that seven months later the Spurs player will have his right of reply.

During the video, Dele read out the tweet, before saying ‘So, he’s obviously an Arsenal fan. A bit bitter…’

To be fair to the Twitter user, he gave Dele his dues after seeing the video.

Anyway, back to that rating. Alli coming into FIFA 18 rated below Danijel Subašić and Ilkay Gundogan?
