England’s youngsters are world champions – beating Venezuela 1-0 in the Under-20 World Cup final in South Korea.
In total, the team that played in the final played 1,094 Premier League minutes between them last season – that’s the equivalent of roughly 12 full matches.
Not a lot of first-team football, then.

So, how would do when they’re older, when they’re more established?
Will England finally have another shot at World Cup glory in 2020, or will the promising stars fall at the final hurdle?
YouTuber Rich Leigh used FIFA 17 Career Mode to find out – simming the season with the champion team.
First up, it’s Australia – a game England should win easily.
Sadly, it’s a nightmare start, and England lose the game 2-1.
Thankfully, they fare much better against Uruguay – and come away the 1-0 victors.
Next up, it’s Turkey – and England draw the match 1-1.
They scrape through to the last 16 – finishing second in their group.
Switzerland are lying in wait for England in the last 16 – surely this is a winnable game?
Sadly, the Englishmen fall apart and lose the match 3-0.
If it’s any consolation, Switzerland then went on to win the entire competition.
Who would have thought it.
