You’d think Claudio Bravo would be the last player on the planet associated with a FIFA 17 ratings boost – but you’d be wrong.
According to gamers on Reddit, the Chilean is in line for a significant upgrade off the back of an incredible performance for Chile in the Confederations Cup.
The shot stopper, who infamously struggled during his first season at Manchester City, saved three penalties during the match against Portugal.
His side then went on to win the shootout 3-0.
Now fans believe it’s only a matter of time before Bravo receives a new card, which will likely be a purple Hero type.
One wrote: “Can he get a hero card for that? To me that performance even goes above man of the match.
“He basically pulled a miracle and completely shut Portugal out in penalties. Either way he’s getting a card, but I’m hoping for the Purple Hero type!”
Bravo was one of a number of players to have his rating downgraded as part of the FIFA ratings refresh period earlier in the year.
Following a string of blunders for City, the 34-year-old was downgraded from 85 to 83.
Pep Guardiola – and City fans for that matter – will be hoping his keeper can carry his recent form into next season.
