FIFA 17 has been out for a while now – so chances are you may be getting a bit bored.
But fear not – there are plenty of ways to make it last longer and fill the gap until FIFA 18 comes out.
Here are seven ways to stop tedium setting in.
Remember, read our everything you need to know about FIFA 18 piece to keep up to date with the latest news.
Playing six a side
YouTuber DailyTradingTips found that if both teams get four players sent off during an online match, the ref will allow the game to continue – essentially creating a six-a-side game.
There’s loads more space to run, perfect for those who feel constrained and closed down quickly in full matches.
Who needs FIFA Street, eh?
Career Mode experiments – players
Ever wanted to find out what would happen if Cristiano Ronaldo went back to Sporting Lisbon? Could Pele save Sunderland from relegation?
YouTuber Rich Leigh is one a few gamers who conducts FIFA experiments on Career Mode – and they’re all incredibly entertaining.
Whether it’s creating a team of your favourite player, or just plonking Lionel Messi into a Sheffield Wednesday side, you’ll have hours of fun.
Career Mode experiments – tactics
If you don’t fancy editing players and creating new teams – which can take time – playing around the tactics is another fun way of giving Career Mode a new lease of life.
Why not try and win the league with one at the back? Or stick all your men out wide with no one in the middle?
There are almost limitless combinations – and, as you’ll discover , the results will surprise you.
Make Ronaldinho (And other legends)
It’s annoying that Xbox gamers have sole access to Legends cards – but that shouldn’t stop you.
There are plenty of YouTube tutorials out there that teach you how to make your very own stars – including Ronaldinho.
And, given just how well the Frostbite Engine takes to character customisation, expect him to look the part, too.
You can watch how to make Ronaldinho here
Try and break the game
Although EA has done their best to keep glitches to a minimum, there are still some in there – if you’re willing to dig deep.
DailyTradingTips does just that – and stress tests the game under bizarre conditions.
Whether it’s seeing how long a penalty shoot out will last if no one misses or seeing if a score board breaks when a team nets 100 goals, all are incredibly entertaining.
Try and think of your own – the more strange, the better.
FIFA 17 is teeming with secrets (also called Easter Eggs).
For example, if you look at the second screen on the camera men – it’s an image of Dimitar Berbatov scoring a goal for Manchester United.
Maybe one of the graphics guys is a United fan?
That’s not all.
When you’re playing around in the arena, repeatedly press L2 and R2 (and the equivalent buttons on Xbox One) as quickly as possible.
This will let you run away from the ball and spring around the pitch.
You can even run into the stands… although it’s clear you’re not meant to.
Bad Alex Hunter
As The Journey Season 2 approaches, there’s no better time to play through it all again (especially if you jumped straight into Ultimate Team).
But if you’ve already played it through once, why not make Hunter a nasty, fiery teen?
After all, you have the choice to do so.
You never know, you may end up with a different ending?
