PES 2018 will arrive on September 14th – just days before FIFA 18.
The new game promises ‘a wide-range of improvements’ as it seeks to reclaim the football crown from its EA SPORTS rival.
While there has been no official news on who will grace the cover, Arsenal star Mesut Ozil may have just dropped a huge hint.
The German posted a picture of him playing PES 2017 on Facebook with the caption: “Pro Evolution Soccer Just saw #PES2018 announced, can I get a bit more pace?
“Need to get faster away from defenders 😉 See more about the new game here: http://bit.ly/2pVZG6s”
At first glance it seems a light-hearted dig at publishers Konami but look closer and it’s something else entirely.
He’s mentioned people can ‘find out more information’ by clicking a link, which is a clear sign he’s part of the game’s marketing campaign.
But why him? After all, this is the game that has access to the entire Barcelona squad.
Ozil’s involvement may still be unclear, but it’s almost certain he’ll be involved in some way.
It follows Konami revealing PES 2018 earlier today – promising more new features than any other PES title in the last decade.
