Cristiano Ronaldo is undeniably one of the main reasons why Real Madrid are such a dominant force in La Liga.
So, what would happen if you levelled the playing field and gave every single team their very own Ronaldo?
Rich Leigh, a YouTuber who conducts FIFA experiments, decided to find out using FIFA 17’s Career Mode.
Would Barcelona and Real still dominate? Or would another lesser-known club emerge from the shadows?
Half way through the season and the La Liga table has already been shaken up.
Sevilla are top with 43 points, followed by Malaga and Los Blancos.
Barca, meanwhile, have slipped in to eight place – the combination of Ronaldo and Lionel Messi perhaps not as deadly as they’d hoped.
In terms of individual stats, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal Ronaldo scored joint most goals – with 12 apiece.
Real Madrid Ronaldo was sixth top scorer with eight.
The only other player who’s anywhere near the Ronaldos in Luis Suarez, who sits in fifth place with nine goals so far.
Fast forward to the end of the season and the Uruguayan goes one better.
He scored a total of 21 goals in La Liga – beating Villareal Ronaldo’s 20.
Unsurprisingly, Ronaldo then dominated the entire table.
Sevilla win La Liga, with Malaga holding on to the second spot.
Barcelona come third but Real slip to sixth place.
In the Champions League, Ronaldo helped Barca to the Champions League final, but they lost to Bayern Munich.
So, there you have it.
If every team had a Ronaldo, Sevilla would dominate La Liga… according to FIFA, anyway.
