FIFA 18: Why Kylian Mbappe will be the best youngster on the new game

Many have compared the Frenchman with Thierry Henry

Kylian Mbappe’s star is swiftly on the rise – which can only mean one thing…

A FIFA 18 upgrade.

The 18-year-old striker has been in sensational form for Ligue 1 toppers AS Monaco – with his brace against Manchester City dumping them out of the Champions League.

Many have compared Mbappe with Thierry Henry, 39, who has been impressed with what he’s seen so far.

“My word, he is good. Ooh la la,” Henry told Sky Sports.

“I met him, and he gave me the impression that he has a good head on his shoulders. l really like watching him play.”

Mbappe’s form has seen his FIFA card rating jump 10 points from 71 to 81 – but we think it’ll get even better come FIFA 18.

We’ve mocked up his card below to give you an idea about what to expect. Our ‘FIFA 18’ version is on the left and his recent IF is on the right.

We’d expect to see boosts in pace and shooting, rising from 85 and 80 to 89 and 85 respectively.

Elsewhere, we’d expect small increases in the Physical category – particularly strength and stamina as he continues to prove he’s adjusted to the pace of top-tier football.

For those looking to give the Frenchman a try, you can pick up his standard 71-rated card for around 4,000 coins.

His IF costs nearer the 40K mark – if you have the cash.

Away from FIFA and Mbappe has been linked with a range of  major European clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
