Game Week 37 gets underway this Friday and it will be the last full edition of the season.
By that we mean, all teams will be active as the Premier League season concludes on Sunday.
Of course, Liverpool have an extra fixture in the form of the Champions League final on May 28th and that alone is reason enough for Dream Team gaffers to stack their XI with as many Anfield assets as possible.
But that doesn’t mean this coming weekend’s fixtures should be overlooked.
Those desperate to overhaul their mate/colleague/loved one in their mini-league at the death may be able to go full Real Madrid with an ingenious transfer or two tailored specifically to Game Week 37’s climatic fixtures.
So what are the options?
Immediately the eye is drawn to Spurs’ trip to Norwich, a game the visitors will be highly motivated to win to ensure Champions League qualification.
Between them, Harry Kane (£7.6m) and Son Heung-min (£6.5m) have registered 166 points in the last eight Game Weeks!
It seems likely at least one of the prolific pair will add to their tally at Carrow Road.
The South Korea international has a chance of claiming his first ever Golden Boot as he’s currently on 21 league goals – Mohamed Salah (£7.7m) has 22.
On a similar theme, Watford are returning to the Championship with barely a whimper of resistance.
The Hornets have scored four and conceded 20 in their last eight games and that record is unlikely to improve when they meet Chelsea on the final day at Stamford Bridge.
Mason Mount (£4.9m) could cash in against Roy Hodgson’s beleaguered troops, he’s one of just three players to have achieved 10+ goals and 10+ assists in the top flight this term.
Could Reece James (£5.7m) combine a clean sheet with a goal involvement for a double-digit haul?
Some bold gaffers may even think it’s worth backing Romelu Lukaku (£4.8m) on the final day.
The hulking Belgian has not lived up to expectations but Watford at home feels like the sort of fixture that might allow him to bump up his numbers.
Fittingly for a team on the south coast, Southampton have been on the beach for a few weeks now.
Saints have gained just one point from their last four games and only three teams have conceded more goals this season.
All signs point to another fun day out for James Maddison (£5.0m), Harvey Barnes (£4.1m) and Jamie Vardy (£4.3m) this Sunday – the Leicester trio combined for 45 points last weekend.
The Foxes’ experienced No9 is a particularly intriguing option as he averages a goal every 117 minutes in the Premier League in 2021/22.
Leeds will be fighting for survival but the simple fact is they are horribly out of form.
A more clinical team than Brighton would have been out of sight by the 60th minute at Elland Road on Sunday and Brentford will be hopeful of creating a similar number of chances against the league’s second-worst defence this coming Sunday.
Ivan Toney (£4.8m) averages 4.8 points-per-game this season while Christian Eriksen’s (£3.4m) average of 4.3 is only bettered by Kevin De Bruyne (£7.6m) and Riyad Mahrez (£7.1m) among midfielders.
It goes without saying that Man City will be heavy favourites to beat Aston Villa at home to seal their fourth league title in five years but most Dream Team bosses will already have a healthy stock of Etihad assets in their XI.
Remember, if you need to make up ground in your mini-league then you might as well be bold at this stage – go for it!
