Matty Cash (£1.5m) – Aston Villa

Any Nottingham Forest fan will tell you how talented Villa’s new right back is.

Cash can play as a wing-back or in midfield and registered three goals and five assists in the Championship last term.

The Midlands side did have the second worst defensive record in the league though… so maybe only pick him if you really need a bargain option.

Donny van de Beek (£3.5m) – Man United

The marquee signing of the week was £35million signing of Van de Beek from Ajax to Man United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be delighted with his new signing, who will add some much-needed versatility to his United side’s midfield.

At £3.5m, you may be tempted by the 23-year-old, especially as he registered ten goals and 11 assists in Holland last season.

He will probably sit a little further back for the Red Devils, but will improve their midfield… and he could do the same for your Dream Team.

Gabriel (£3m) – Arsenal

Arteta’s got his man

Any supporter of Arsenal will tell you how badly they needed a new defender (or two!), and they’ve certainly snapped up the one they were after in Gabriel.

The Gunners’ improvement was there for everyone to see under Mikel Arteta towards the end of last season, and with the 22-year-old defender now in tow the gaffer can start to seriously build from the back.

The Brazilian starts off at reasonable £3m on Dream Team and he could be well worth a look in.

Rodrigo (£2.5m) – Leeds United

Just a Leeds United player leading the Spanish attack

This is something of a statement signing from Marcelo Bielsa, right?

Rodrigo, Leeds’ new record signing, is a Spanish international and Champions League regular – and this season he’ll be their main man in attack.

But he is arguably more of a creative force, so we may yet see Patrick Bamford (£2m) start alongside him for the newly promoted side.

Robin Koch (£2m) – Leeds United

Koch had a great year in the Bundesliga

It’s been a busy week up at Leeds.

Along with Rodrigo, the Championship winners snapped up 24-year-old centre-back Koch after his impressive run out for Bundesliga side Freiburg last season.

We have him as the most valuable defensive asset for the Yorkshire side along with Stuart Dallas, Luke Ayling and Liam Cooper – all priced at just £2m.

Timothy Castagne (£2m) – Leicester City

Can the defender get ahead of Pereira?

Despite losing left-back Ben Chilwell to Chelsea, Leicester have opted to snap up a right back in Castagne from Atalanta.

The 24-year-old featured in five of the six Champions League group games for the Italian side last season but was benched for the knock-out games against Valencia and PSG.

Will Brendan Rodgers realistically be able to play both Ricardo Pereira (£4m) and the Castagne in the same side?

The Portuguese right-back was a real Dream Team favourite last year and is seemingly one of the best around at the moment.

Anthony Gordon (£1.5m) – Everton

It may be a year too early for Gordon

While Everton are closing in on deals for James Rodriguez, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan, we have put one of their more promising youngsters onto the game in 19-year-old Gordon.

Carlo Ancelotti clearly rates the youngster – who’s considered one of the most exciting players to come out of the Toffess’ youth academy  since Ross Barkley – but with a wealth of midfield talent on the way, it might be a season or two too early to seriously consider the winger for your side.
