We’ve got some bad news – our faith in some of the Premier League’s usual suspects has been misguided recently.
If 2020 was meant to bring joy and happiness, this quintet must want to start the year all over again because their form has spiralled worryingly out of control.
Let’s name and shame them…

1 Raheem Sterling
At one point Sterling held a 60-point lead over his nearest rival at the top of the Dream Team player rankings.
That lead no longer exists, usurped by Mo Salah last weekend who is really capitalising on the malaise of some of the bigger names.
In fact, Salah was the only player with over 80 points this season to register double figures last weekend.
Sterling hasn’t recorded a single point in 2020 so far, with his last goal of any kind coming against Wolves just after Christmas. That was six weeks ago.
No man wants the Champions League to return more than Sterling.
2 Tammy Abraham
Oh Tammy, what happened?
Like Sterling, Abraham was at one point the top points scorer on Dream Team after a stellar start to the season.
But, much like Chelsea’s form, he has faded in recent months, plagued by some niggling injuries.
He is now the eighth highest scoring forward on the game and has managed just one goal in 2020 so far.
3 Jamie Vardy
Is the Vardy party over?
When the Champions League group stages wrapped up we tipped Vardy as the key man for your teams, but he hasn’t lived up to the billing.
He’s added just 21 points to his total since the European commitments took a hiatus at the start of December and he’s another one of those players who hasn’t scored yet this year.
With Wolves and Man City in Leicester’s next two games, it would be a good time for him to rediscover his shooting boots.
4 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Just like Arsenal in general, this really has been a season to forget for Aubameyang.
The Gunners have only scored 32 goals in 25 league games this season and while Aubameyang has bagged 14 of those, he’s struggled of late.
His suspension after his red card against Crystal Palace has really knocked the stuffing out of his season.
At 25.6% he’s far too popular on the game for a striker, especially considering Richarlison and Anthony Martial have now surpassed him in the points rankings.
5 Jonny Evans
We had to get a defender in there, and we’ve gone for Evans.
Leicester were practically impregnable in the first few months of the season, keeping four successive clean sheets at the start of November.
But the Foxes have recorded just one shut out since December 4th in the league and Evans has paid the price.
He has just one point in 2020 so far.
