Welcome to a fantasy football first.
The Premier League is currently embarking in its inaugural winter break, with the fixture list split to allow all 20 clubs at least two weeks away from top-flight action.

We’ll explain how each game – Season, Weekender and Draft – have been impacted, but the short answer is: not that much. Which is a relief, right?
This weekend (Game Week 24), there are four Premier League games:
- Everton vs Crystal Palace, Brighton vs Watford, Sheffield United vs Bournemouth and Man City vs West Ham
Then the following weekend (Game Week 25), the other clubs play so there are six league clashes:
- Wolves vs Leicester, Southampton vs Burnley, Norwich vs Liverpool, Aston Villa vs Spurs, Arsenal vs Newcastle and Chelsea vs Man United
With new transfers dropping this Friday its a crucial time in the season to get ahead of your mates…
We are still in Game Week 23 and, to Jurgen Klopp’s dismay, there are some FA Cup replays to fulfil before the week is over.
Not that Jurgen or any of the Liverpool first-teamers will actually be there for their tie against Shrewsbury at Anfield tonight.
As far as Game Week 24 is concerned there are only four games involved across all competitions, finishing with West Ham’s daunting trip to the Etihad on the Sunday.
It really hots up the following weekend in Game Week 25, with six Premier League fixtures teeing up the return of European football.
Yes the Champions League and Europa League are back in Game Week 25, so Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Man United and Wolves will reignite their European dreams.
With Draft being Premier League only the winter break is a fairly straight forward affair.
Essentially the game operates like a normal Game Week, only this time there are only four games in Game Week 22 and then six the following Game Week. (Draft Game Weeks are different to Season Game Weeks due to the lack of FA Cup involvement).
That means, as usual, you can make trades and sign free agents as soon as the final Premier League game has finished in that Game Week.
Those games are Man City vs West Ham in Game Week 24 and Chelsea vs Man United in Game Week 25.
The savvy Draft players among you may want to be more active than usual with free agents to ensure you have as many players as possible playing in each Game Week.
Initially it looks like Weekender is a more limited affair in Game Week 24, with only four Premier League games to choose from.
But when you look at Game Week 25 you’ll realise only four games are applicable that weekend too as Wolves vs Leicester (Friday) and Chelsea vs Man United (Monday) are ineligible.
Any ineligible players will not be available to pick on the app, so don’t worry, you won’t make any mistakes.
With Man City hosting West Ham in Game Week 24, it’s safe to say we predict a lot of Pep Guardiola’s players to be popular.
