It’s time for a breather.
The Premier League is pausing for another international break (ugh!), but that just means we get a chance to reevaluate our Dream Team ahead of the busy December period.
So for starters, who’s been the best of the best on the game so far?
This handsome lot below would set you back a cool £53.7m, which is just a shade over your allocated budget of £50m.
We’re not very surprised to see regular fantasy football favourites like Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah make the grade, but we’re pleased to see a few bargain options dotted around there too; notably Chelsea pair Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham.
Man City sure did miss their first-choice goalkeeper in their game against Liverpool at the weekend, didn’t they?
Ederson has been outstanding this season, keeping five clean-sheets in the Premier League and boasting 29 saves – which is all the more impressive considering City’s defence has been down to the bare-bones lately.
But perhaps the best thing about having Ederson in your Dream Team is his passing ability; last season, he even managed to pick up an assist!
Attacking full-backs really are the money-maker when it comes to fantasy football.
This trio of Ricardo Pereira, Andy Robertson and Lucas Digne all have attacking instincts to compliment their defensive nous, with a lovely handful of assists between them at the moment.
The likes of Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell aren’t too bad, either.
Things start to get interesting when you look at our midfield.
Sterling and Sadio Mane are quite possibly the two best players in the Premier League at the moment and rightfully deserve a place in our Best XI.
But alongside them are two fairly surprising names in Leicester’s Youri Tielemans, who’s been quietly brilliant so far this season, and Christian Pulisic.
The Chelsea winger has been particularly electrifying recently, picking up 64 of his 76 points in the last three Game Weeks.
It’s not surprising to see Aguero and Salah among our best forwards of the season, but what about Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham?
The England striker has stepped up brilliantly in Frank Lampard’s first few months as manager by netting 10 goals in the league so far – which is just one short of top-scorer Jamie Vardy.
