1 Benjamin Mendy (£4.8m)
He’s back and ready to make up for lost time.
Mendy came off the bench for Man City in their EFL Cup clash with Burton during the week and is in-line to make an appearance in their FA Cup match against Burnley this weekend.
Earlier in the season, Mendy was a firm Dream Team favourite as he notched an impressive tally of assists – but a lack of form and then a lengthy injury meant fantasy football managers avoided him like the plague.
But with City still in all four competitions at the moment, the marauding full-back will likely be a regular on the team sheet – which means those points bonuses for clean sheets, assists and 7+ ratings could all be yours.
2 Paul Pogba (£5.3m)
We absolutely love Pogba at the moment and it’s easy to see why.
With Man United flying high under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, we’ve seen the absolute best from the Frenchman in recent weeks and he’s becoming quite the staple of fantasy football success.
He’s currently boasting 133 points on Dream Team – with 60 of those earned since Solskjaer’s first game in charge against Cardiff in late December.
The only downside is that his price has soared recently.
3 Lucas Moura (£3.5m)
It’s been a tricky few weeks for Spurs, with both Harry Kane and Dele Alli missing through injury and Son Heung-min away at the Asian Cup.
So over the next week weeks, manager Mauricio Pochettino may turn to Lucas to be his side’s main attacking threat instead.
The Brazilian is back from injury this week and could start in their FA Cup clash with Crystal Palace at the weekend.
4 Gonzalo Higuain (£4.5m)
Chelsea finally have a striker who’s known for scoring goals.
The Argentinian’s arrival at Stamford Bridge will reunite him with his former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri and the pair will hope to rediscover the successful relationship they enjoyed during their time together in Italy.
The powerful forward broke the record for the most goals scored in a Serie A season while under Sarri’s guidance in 2015/16 and was at one stage the hottest property in European football.
Whether he can do it in the Premier League is another matter, but we might get some idea just how good (or bad) he’s going to bed in the Blues’ FA Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
5 Gabriel Jesus (£4.1m)
This Man City wonderkid is in red hot form right now.
The Brazilian has been a fantasy football points machine in recent games, having scored seven times for City in January – although four of those came against the minnows Burton in the EFL Cup.
Still, a regular spot in Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up lately and a decent haul of goals will do wonders for his confidence, plus his Dream Team valuation is still quite the bargain price.
