It’s important to remember that Dream Team is a marathon and not a sprint.
A number of top six stars who kicked-off the campaign like a house on fire have been struggling for points in recent weeks and might just have peaked too early.

1 Willian – £3.9m
If you put Willian’s impressive goal against Newcastle to one side then it’s been a pretty torrid few months for him at Chelsea.
The Brazilian started the season in emphatic style and at one point was rubbing shoulders with the top points-scorers on Dream Team before his form took a sharp decline.
Willian had picked up just three points from his last six outings before netting the winner against Rafa Benitez’s side in Game Week 20 but we still aren’t totally convinced.
His long term future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain and his performances have been far too inconsistent to rely on him to produce the goods for your team.
2 Alexandre Lacazette – £5m
Playing second fiddle to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has clearly taken it’s toll on Lacazette as he’s playing nowhere close to the levels we saw at the start of the season.
The Frenchman has managed just one goal in his last nine appearances and his points total on Dream Team is suffering having picked up just eight points over the last four game weeks.
Unai Emery’s man has spent most of the season in Aubameyang’s shadow and his form of late won’t be doing much to convince either his manager or Dream Team gaffers of his credentials to topple his free-scoring teammate.
3 Aymeric Laporte – £4.5m
Laporte’s inclusion on the list is a controversial one but when you look at the numbers behind it there’s certainly some method to the madness.
The Frenchman has been one of City’s most important players this season but has been struggling for points in recent weeks during what was a festive period to forget for Pep Guardiola’s men.
The towering defender did however kick-start his 2019 with an eight points haul in the win over Wolves in Game Week 20 and Dream Team gaffers will hope the result signals the start of a turnaround in fortunes for the early season’s must-have player
4 Sadio Mane – £5.2m
Similarly to Willian, Mane is a player who started the campaign in emphatic form before poor performances meant he plummeted down the scoring charts on Dream Team.
The Liverpool man went within inches of scoring in the title six-pointer against Man City when his effort struck the post in a moment which summed up his form of late.
Mane then missed the Reds’ FA Cup defeat to Wolves before firing a blank against Brighton in Game Week 20.
5 Sergio Aguero – £6.4m
It’s a Dream Team cardinal sin to criticise this man but it’s not without justification when you take a look at the numbers.
Aguero might have scored as recently as Game Week 19 but injuries and inconsistency have ultimately combined to make this season an uncharacteristically difficult one for him.
The Argentine has now been overtaken by his teammate Gabriel Jesus in the Dream Team scoring charts after the Brazilian ran riot against Burton in the Carabao Cup.
Guardiola has been using City’s talismanic forward sparingly in recent weeks to keep him injury free but that’s made him an expensive burden for Dream Team managers who should seriously consider cashing in for.
