Despite being an ever-present at right-back, Young is still on negative points this season.
The 33-year-old has struggled to fill the boots of the injured Antonio Valencia and has laboured to -2 points – making him one of the lowest-point scoring players in Dream Team.
1.7% of managers are stuck in a rut with an under-performing defender playing for a struggling United side.
Young has already picked up three yellow cards and his lack of discipline is harming his point-tally.
With -1 deducted for every yellow card shown, the full-back has struggled to gather any sort of momentum.
The United man has only managed to achieve a 7+ rating on two occasions, with his penchant for cards and no-nonsense approach certainly playing a factor.
United have conceded 14 goals with Young on the pitch this season which has had a damaging impact on his point-tally.
-7 points for goals against have only been propped up by the one assist.
Young finished the 2017/18 season with 90 points to his name on Dream Team.
The veteran defender emerged as an attacking threat in a side that were conceding very few goals.
However this season has proved to be a disaster for the former Aston Villa man.
Time for a change?
At £2.7m, Young is far from an expensive option in Dream Team but is still being outscored by several cheaper defenders.
Crystal Palace’s Patrick van Aanholt is £0.1m cheaper than the United man and has racked up a hefty 34 points in Dream Team.
Wolves’ Matt Doherty has a pricetag of just £2m and has 51 points to boast of. There are plenty of cheaper and better-performing alternatives to Young.
United’s poor form is showing no signs of letting up so it’s definitely time for the thousands of you with Young in your team to transfer the Red Devils defender out.
