Liverpool sit pretty at the top of the table

Yes a handful of players have already experienced two Dream Team price changes already.

And we’re going to focus on the positive ones; the 22 lucky stars who have earned the maximum price rise of £0.4m so far.

Fantasy football tips: Biggest player price rises so far

Goalkeepers:

Alisson (£4.4m) may have given Liverpool fans a mini seizure with his blunder against Leicester but the Reds won and he continues to wrack up the points.

His three successive clean sheets and – Leicester mistake aside – continued brilliance with his feet has seen him hit 20 points so far to become the most expensive goalkeeper on the game.

Cardiff’s Neil Etheridge (£1.9m) has also excelled, matching Alisson’s points tally after saving two penalties in as many games.

Defenders:

Exactly half of those 22 players are defenders in what has certainly been a season for the boys at the back so far.

Marauding left-backs are the flavour of the month, with Marcos Alonso (£4.9m) and Andy Robertson (£3.4m) the two highest scoring defenders so far.

Watford are this season’s success story with four wins from four and two of their standout performers – Daryl Janmaat (£1.4m) and Jose Holebas (£2.4m) – have seen their values rocket.

Janmaat could be the steal of the season

Janmaat, in particular, is looking like the bargain of the campaign so far having started at a measly £1m.

Liverpool have conceded just one goal in four games and Virgil van Dijk (£4.4m) and Joe Gomez (£2.9m) have been pivotal in that run.

Then come two of England’s World Cup heroes, with Kieran Trippier (£4.4m) and Harry Maguire (£3.9m) both maintaining their excellent individual form from Russia.

And what for some more surprising names?

Well Bournemouth’s Steve Cook (£2.4m), Cardiff’s Sol Bamba (£2.4m) and Brighton’s Shane Duffy (2.9m) have all been individually brilliant and soared up the price charts.

Midfielders:

Last season Mo Salah finished at the top of the Dream Team points rankings, but this time it’s Reds’ partner in crime Sadio Mane (£6.4m) leading the way.

This season’s leading man so far

Mane has already struck four goals this season and looks like he could outshine the Egyptian king across the campaign after racking up 44 points already.

Pedro (£2.9m) has become a central figure at Chelsea under new boss Maurizio Sarri and is comparatively very cheap on Dream Team despite his price hoik.

The other midfielders to rise are Roberto Pereyra (£2.4m), Ryan Fraser (£2.9m) and Premier League Player of the Month Lucas Moura (£3.4m)

Justified just for the performance at Old Trafford alone

Strikers:

Just four strikers have earned the maximum price rise and it will be a shock to nobody that Sergio Aguero (£6.9m) is one of them.

The Argentine hitman scored four hat-tricks last season and got his first treble of this term against Huddersfield as part of his 36 points.

He’s joined by Aleksandar Mitrovic (£2.9m), Callum Wilson (£2.9m) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£2.9m), who has really exploited the Carabao Cup action so far.
